I’ll tell you what we want, what we really, really want. We, at Avante Women’s Center, want to support you in reaching your full potential; in whatever aspect of your life that you feel is lacking. Our first step in doing so is to hear from you what it is that you want. If you are a young woman, or mom aged 18-40ish, and you’ve been looking for an opportunity to learn and do new things, we want to hear from you.
Avante is working to develop workshops for young English speaking women, and we want to know what you want to know. What are you interested in the most? What obstacles are you facing that you’re just not sure how to address? For example, bullying, coping with stress, empowerment, self-esteem, nutrition, exercise, self-expression, DIY’s, etc., the options are virtually endless. Would your participation in a workshop be more likely if it were for you and your kids? Or would this workshop be your opportunity to indulge in a little “me time”? Whatever your situation is, whatever your preferences are, we want to meet your needs.
Please join us at the Brome Lake Community Center, 270 Rue Victoria, on November 3 at 10:00 am for a meet and greet to let us know what kinds of workshops you’d like offered in your community, and have some coffee or tea and cookies.
If you cannot attend on November 3, we will be back at the Brome Lake Community Center on November 20 at 1:30 and December 14 at 110:00 am.For more information, please contact Kayla the outreach worker at 450-248-0530 or [email protected]
