Held at Sherbrooke’s Parc du Domaine-Howard (1350 boulevard de Portland) from 10am to 10pm, during this free event explore spaces featuring interactive folk, cultural dialogue, food, family game area and cultural discovery.

The event is hosted by the Fédération des Communautés Culturelles de l’Estrie (FCCE), a Sherbrooke-based group working to bring together cultural community organizations for common advocacy and support. the FCCE organizes the intercultural day to give new residents the chance to discover resources and attractions available to them and providing the opportunity for a cultural exchange with the community.

Townshippers’ Association’s Membership Assistant for the summer, Gabrielle Branchaud, and will be at the festival with Evelina Smith, Townshippers’ Cultural Community Liaison, as part of the Association’s outreach efforts and membership activities.

Have your say: needs of the Haut-Saint-François’s elderly

The opinions of senior residents of the Haut-Saint-François is being sought as part of a collaborative research project with the Université de Sherbrooke (UdeS) and the Société d’Aide au Développement de la Collectivité (SADC) of Haut-Saint-François to better understand their service needs.

From now until Friday, July 21, 2017, a UdeS master’s student is collecting responses from residents aged 65 and over about types of services offered to them. The replies could greatly assist in the region responding more effectively to their needs.
