RICHMOND ST.PATRICK'S SOCIETY

The St. Patrick’s Society of Richmond and region together with the Ville de Richmond is proud to announce a month of Irish festivities that you must attend at least once in your life because it is the party not to be missed!

On March 17 of each year, for 140 years now, we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Patron of the Irish. Erika Lockwood, President of the St. Patrick Society, announced the many activities that will mark St. Patrick’s Day in Richmond in the presence of several partners including the Ville de Richmond and the Centre d’art de Richmond.

Early St. Pat’s Society activities took place mainly on March 17th and included a parade with speeches by local Irish dignitaries, a religious service, and a concert in the evening. The procession was only done by men. The evening concert featured a patriotic speech. With 140 years of history, the Irish roots have become firmly established and continue with activities and events such as parades, guest speakers, banquets, concerts, Irish dancing school, curling bonspiel, musical events, and newsletter during the month of March.
