A Quebec City native, the multidisciplinary artist Isabelle Lapierre’s journey consists of many creative residences as well as individual and collective exhibitions throughout Québec. “Ouvrir le feu’’ invokes a breach into the feeling of gloom linked to the current ecological crisis.  The artist juxtaposes apocalyptic landscape paintings and assemblage sculptures, thus creating an installation that emphasizes the catastrophe while becoming a land of all possibilities.
