Townshippers’ Association’s Outstanding Townshippers awards recognizes the dedication, generosity and talent of those whose unique gifts have contributed positively to the Eastern Townships English-speaking community. Thanks to community members, like you, who take the opportunity to submit a nomination, these often unsung heroes can be recognized for their efforts. Since 1999, Townshippers’ Association has been recognizing the individuals, couples and groups, from all walks of life, who work passionately and collaboratively to make the Eastern Townships a better place to live, work and raise a family. The Outstanding Townshippers’ Award is presented annually to two exceptional members of the Townships community who have made considerable contributions – beyond the usual expectations of their job or profession, through volunteerism, social activism, mentoring, or philanthropy – to the life of the Eastern Townships English-speaking community, either within their local community or the Townships community as a whole.
The 17th annual awards is planned for the morning of September 17, 2016, as part of the Townshippers’ Day opening ceremonies at the Brome fairgrounds.
