Townshippers’ Association’s 2017 Annual General Meeting

SHERBROOKE, May 2, 2017 – The 38th Annual General Meeting for Townshippers’ Association will take place on Friday, June 9, 2017, starting at 5:30 pm, at the Estrimont Suites and Spa, 44 Avenue de l’Auberge, Orford.

The AGM is an opportunity for members of the Association, stakeholders and the community, to review the non-profit community organization’s activities over the past year.

Since 1979, Townshippers’ Association, a non-profit, non-partisan community organization, has been working to promote, engage, and strengthen the English-speaking community of the historical Eastern Townships.

This year’s AGM will feature a showcase of new and dynamic employability tools for community members, the winners of this year’s Excel in the Estrie essay challenge, and the launch of the Our Stories: The Eastern Townships’ chapter in Canada’s 150-year story anthology. Our Stories project volunteers and anthology contributors will present and read from their works, showcasing the wealth of talent in the literary and visual arts in our beautiful Eastern Townships.

Those interested in attending the AGM are asked to RSVP by May 26 with Cathy Turner by calling 819-566-566-5717 (toll-free 1-877-566-5717) or emailing [email protected] Light refreshments will be served. Cash bar on site.
