SHERBROOKE, November 24, 2017 – Townshippers’ Association is pleased with the Quebec government’s appointment of William Floch to its newly created English-language community secretariat.
“It’s encouraging to see an individual with extensive knowledge of Quebec’s English-speaking communities occupy this role,” said Rachel Hunting, Executive Director for Townshippers’ Association, “Mr. Floch has been actively engaged in researching English-speaking communities across the province for many years and has a wealth of experience regarding the vitality of Official Language Minority Communities.”
Townshippers’ Association looks forward to working with this new structure, Mr. Floch and Kathleen Weil, the Minister responsible for English-speaking Quebecers, to ensure that the Quebec’s English-speaking communities not only survive but thrive as integral parts of Quebec society.
