Social Media Policy

Townshippers’ Association recognizes the importance of remaining in contact with, and accessible to, our membership and the larger community that we serve and as such we employ our use of social media networks and web-based platforms. The association’s policy aims to establish guidelines for the use of social media and balance them in connection with the mission and mandate of Townshippers’.

Social Media User Submissions Guidelines Summary:

Please keep submissions and comments relevant to the topic and be civil.

Always avoid:

 defamatory, hateful, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, sexist comments, sexually explicit, insensitive and offensive language;
 inappropriate photos;
 threats or harassment;
 posting information that is religiously or politically biased;
 announcements or messages that are either religious, partisan or political;
 personal attacks, insults and defamatory statements;
 unsolicited advertising material or spam;
 messages that are posted several times or that are unintelligible or irrelevant;
 messages that contain confidential information, such as personal information.
 anything illegal.
