Farnham’s all about families this Townshippers’ Day

With just days to go until the Townshippers’ Day, a team of staff members and volunteers have been busily working to make sure the Eastern Townships English-speaking community’s 33-year-old cultural event goes off without a hitch. There’s still plenty to be done but with the host city of Farnham coinciding their annual family and heritage festivals with Townshippers’  Day, this year’s day of family fun, great food, and extraordinary entertainment, is shaping up to be one awesome event!

Along with the artisans, dancers, and musicians, this year families can enjoy a magical and acrobatic pirate show watch the Van Doos, Red Guard of the Royal 22nd Regiment accompanied by the 6th Battalion,  take the city by storm in the Freedom of the City ceremony! The full program of events can be found in the latest issue of our biannual newsprint, Townshippers, and on the www.tday.ca website.

Silent Auction Last Call

Thanks to the generosity of businesses and individuals in the community, the silent auction is overflowing with fantastic and lavish items this year. From luxurious lavender products to stylishly toasty ski-doo coats, pet accessories to home décor, theatre tickets,      there’s something for everyone! But don’t worry, there’s a little time left to get your items added to the auction table.  Items of all sizes and values are still being accepted. To make a donation please contact Mary Gunter with the item(s) and its estimated dollar value, at [email protected] or 819-566-5717.

We are all looking forward to seeing you this Saturday, September 15th, in Farnham!
