All-inclusive Weekend Getaway – for Free and for You?

Everyone dreams of having a free all-inclusive weekend getaway! Often it’s the thing of dreams or a too-good-to-be-true scam. But this is not the run of the mill computerized cruise trip announcement! If you are a young post-secondary graduate who is feeling undecided about where you belong and looking for a place to call your own, this getaway is tailor-made for you!

The Make Way for YOUth (MWFY) Project encourages post-secondary graduates between 18 and 35 to call the Estrie their home! In order to encourage migration and settlement in the beautiful
Eastern Townships, MWFY offers the chance to discover or rediscover the region, from Potton all the way to Lac-Megantic, through its Discovery Day Weekends. And with meals, transportation, and accommodation provided for, you have nothing to do except explore and connect during your all-inclusive weekend!

Three weekends throughout the year are planned where participants get the chance to explore different MRC’s of the Estrie – for free.  This is your chance to begin putting into place a network of contacts by visiting an area in the region and seeing first hand what it has to offer.  Interested? Don’t wait, spaces are limited! Register now!

The next Discovery Day weekends schedule includes visits to:

  • Haut-Saint-François and Granit MRC from August 8 – 10, 2014;
  • Coaticook and Memphremagog MRC, September 13 – 15 2014, featuring Townshippers’ Day, an event gathering the English-Speaking Community to celebrate their vitality and creativity in the Townships;
  • Sherbrooke, Val-St-François and MRC des Sources, March 2015, featuring a visit to the Salon-Priorite Emploi.

For more information or to register contact Jenny Ménard, Make Way for YOUth/Desjardins Migration Agent, at 819-566-5717 (1-866-566-5717) or [email protected]
