Townshippers’ Festival 2019 – Save the Date!

SHERBROOKE, May 28, 2019 –Townshippers’ Association is pleased to announce that this year Townshippers’ Festival will be held on September 21 at Massey-Vanier High School in Cowansville.

Once again, organizing partners will each coordinate specific elements of the festival itself. Among other things, the CIUSSS de l'Estrie – CHUS will include activities that cultivate a healthier community; Townshippers’ will manage the entertainment, artisans, community groups, and food concessions; and the ETSB will provide the event location.

“We hope Townshippers from across our fine region will come out and join us in celebrating the arts, culture, heritage, and community of the historical Eastern Townships. It promises to be a day filled with fun, entertainment, and live music, including a performance by Amos J,” said Rachel Hunting, Executive Director of Townshippers' Association.

With a continued focus on celebrating the English-speaking community of Quebec's historical Eastern Townships, festival organizers are working on creating a more inclusive event. It’s theme Everybody’s a Townshipper will invite French- and English-speakers to explore the roots of the region’s English-speaking community, discover the ways in which they are contributing to the region today and amplify the message that English-speakers are an integral part of the community and depend on their support.

Additional information about the 39th Festival des Townshippers Festival will be rolled out throughout the summer. Visit www.townshippers.org/tfest for details.
